When RA International Global Operations had a requirement for a UK classified work facility, they were recommended Cre8tive Space by their landlord, who are also a customer of ours. RA International specialises in the construction of buildings, roads and other infrastructure, integrated facilities management and supply chain for construction, operation and maintenance, in remote or conflict areas, even under the most challenging supply and logistics scenarios.
The UK facility needed to provide both classified and non-classified areas for both work and relaxation. Special consideration was made to the lighting as the premises had limited natural light. Sound attenuation was also a hight priority and was achieved using a number of methods including specialist wall construction, acoustic door sets and attenuation in air ducts. The design provides a light and bright facility with new furniture and seating to allow different areas to function flexibly.
Technical infrastructure includes specialist CCTV, alarm systems, dual authentication access control, class 3 locking mechanisms and fibre optic infrastructure. This is all supported by the physical build which provides and maintains a secure facility which is FSC (LIST X) accredited.
RA International has locations around the globe including Somalia, DRC, Libya and Sudan – it was great to be chosen to design and build the new UK project office.
